Fiat is an automaker that was founded in 1899 in Italy. In the rest of the world, the Fiat Punto, Uno, 500, and Panda are the best selling Fiat’s. In the U.S., all of the available models are variations of the Fiat 500, which does limit your purchase options, but there are still plenty to choose from. If you’re buying older cars, or international cars from Canada, you can still get many of the European models.
Fiat 500 – The Fiat 500 is the most basic Fiat model available in the U.S., and it’s the best selling mode. It’s also the cheapest, with an MSRP of $16,845, which goes up to $19,700 for the Fiat 500 Turbo, the most advanced option. There are four variations available in the U.S., including the 500 Pop, the 500 Sport, Lounge, and Turbo and they come in up to 15 colors, with premium options for leather seats and steering wheels. The upgrades mostly include upgraded and more powerful engines. All models get 31/40 miles per gallon.
Fiat 500L – With 5 American variations, more seat room, and multiple style options, the Fiat 500L is a versatile and easily customizable car. The vehicle’s MSRP runs from $19,345 to $24,695 depending on the sub model, and offers variable gas mileage with up to 33 highway/35 city miles per gallon depending on the model. The Pop, Easy, Trekking, Urbana, and Lounge are each upgrades of the previous car, allowing buyers to pick the exact amount of desired amenities or luxuries. With up to 8 exterior colors to choose from, 15 to 17-inch wheels, three roof color choices, and accent treatments, there are plenty of exterior choices. The 1.4L MultiAir® Turbocharged engine features 160 HP and 184 LB-FT of torque, and comes with either a 5 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic transmission.

Fiat 500c – The Fiat 500c or Cabrio is Fiat’s low cost soft top sport model, with an MSRP of $20,345 to $22,800. With two models including the Pop and Lounge, there aren’t many options, but you can choose from 15 colors and three soft top colors, and it gets up to 33/45 miles per gallon. Both have the same engine, but the Lounge features an upgraded audio system and electronic management system.
Fiat 500e -While the Fiat 500e is the most expensive Fiat 500 model, it is electric. The $31,800 MSRP can also be offset with local state grants for purchasing an electric vehicle, as well as cost savings, which Fiat estimates to be around $14,000 over the lifetime of the vehicle. The motor drives an average of 50-80 miles per charge. The car also features some of the most advanced electronics, including a smartphone integration system, electronic management system, heated seats, rear parking assist, and more.
Fiat 500X – With an MSRP of $20,000 to $27,100, the Fiat 500X is one of the best selling Fiat models for 2015, thanks to it’s multiple choices, over 15 color options, two engines, and multiple styles. Available models include the Pop, Easy, Trekking, Lounge, and Trekking Plus. While similar to the 500, the 500X also includes much more new software technology, including heated seats, mirror adjustments, Digital Cluster displays, color touch screen, built in GPS, and more.
Fiat 500 Abarth – With an MSRP of $23,570, a standard 5 speed manual, 160 HP, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine and an impressive 25/32 miles per gallon in city/open road. The car also goes from 0-60 in 6.9 seconds, has an optional 6 speed automatic engine that outperforms the 5 speed in terms of, well, speed, and smooth controls that work well with the sports car feel of the vehicle. The Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio is the soft top convertible version, which allows you to enjoy the open road. Both come with a ton of features and available extras (which do get pricey). A dual exhaust system, dual intercoolers, performance suspension, front shock absorbers, and a turbo boost gage all make the Fiat Abarth a great sport car. Fiat is slowly becoming one of the most popular urban car manufacturers, with A list of M-list options. In Europe, Fiat still dominates the A-list market, and in the US, sales have gone up nearly 15% year over year.
